"I always believed that once a child was removed from an abusive home that they were safe and happy ...until I heard about the Sibling Connection I never thought of the trauma of these poor children being separated from their sisters and brothers. I am the oldest of eight children and have always been concerned about the welfare of my younger siblings. I can't imagine how a child after being separated deals with the stress and anxiety of wondering where their siblings are, who they are with, are they safe and will they ever see them or live with them again. Nobody tells these children anything about their future or the welfare of their siblings, which can be avoided by providing a means for the siblings to maintain a relationship with each other that is essential for the healthy development of all children. Picture yourself at the age of 5 living in an abusive family than someone comes in takes you away from the abuse (thank god), puts you with people you don't know, takes you away from your sisters and brothers and doesn't tell you how they are, where they are, or when you will ever see them. Now at 5 years old how do you feel when you go to bed in a strange house in a strange room with strangers...THANK GOD FOR THE SIBLING CONNECTION and CAMP TO BELONG”.......... Mel Lambert, CTB MA and Sibling Sunday/ Saturday Volunteer. Board Member

“Camp to Belong is a highlight of my year. It's a chance to escape the grind and do all kinds of fun activities, all while making an impact on great kids who were dealt a bad hand. I can honestly say I have as much fun as the campers" .................Jay Green, CTB MA Volunteer

"It's so easy to get caught up in your own life, the deadlines you have to meet for work, the errands you have to run, hanging out with friends and family, but when you stop to look at others around you, it's really eye opening. Working with Camp to Belong has made me more aware of the living situation of thousands of children, and also given me the tools to make their lives a little happier. It's also strengthened the bonds that I have with my own sibling and helped me to appreciate the relationship that we have and that fact that we had the opportunity to make so many wonderful childhood memories together."................   Kate Merli, CTB MA and Sibling Sunday/Saturday Volunteer

“I serve as a volunteer because of the joy it brings the kids and  myself.  It is amazing how strong willed and talented some of them are.  I learn just as much from them as they do from me. I truly believe in this organizations mission and I know it helps these kids get through some difficult points in their life. I cannot imagine not helping out the organization or the cause after seeing how important their sibling relationships are.”............ Adam Roy, CTB MA and Sibling Sunday/Saturday Volunteer
